Twisted Tales - unit plan

Twisted Tales

Twisted tales is a unit plan created to engage Year 2 students to independently and collaboratively develop solutions to complex challenges.  The unit plan begins with explicit teaching sessions, and then works through scaffolded instruction techniques.  Students will use online resources to explore and create innovative solutions.

Students will use the fractured fairy tales interactive program to read or write their own version of one of three fairy tales.  Students can print their finished work that they will use to create their own fairy tale on the Toontastic app on the iPad.

Students will then upload their fairy tale video to the class blog.  This class blog is a private blog only available to be accessed thru the school online parents portal.  Students will send an invitation by email to their parents asking for parents to view the class blog and their fractured fairy tales.

Twisted Tales is a unit plan designed for Year 2 students to create and organise ideas and information using information systems independently and with others, and share these with known people in safe online environments (ACTDIP006)
