Twisted Tales

Students in Year 2 will work with various forms of Information Communication Technology (ICT) to develop their knowledge and skills. Working with ICT engages students in critical and creative thinking, and problem solving skills.  Students will learn the impact on individuals, groups and communities while working in a safe online environment.

Students will broaden their knowledge and understanding to  (ACTDIP006) create and organise ideas and information using information systems independently and with others, and share these with known people in safe online environments, (ACARA, 2015).

The following complementary content descriptor was chosen so that students can apply their knowledge and practical skills and processes to use ICT with confidence, care and consideration.

(ACTDIK001) Recognise and explore digital systems (hardware and software components) for a purpose, (ACARA, 2015).

Students will use digital technologies in combination with the Key Learning Area of English, to  (ACELT1593) Create events and characters using different media that develop key events and characters from literary texts, (ACARA, 2015).    Students will use digital media to retell a known story from an alternative point of view.  Students will use oral, written, and digital media to reconstruct an imaginative story.  Students will cover various English content descriptors in the areas of Language, Literacy, and Literature during this short unit of work.
